The word crochet comes from the French croche or croc meaning to hook. Being focused on crochet means that there s little room to be focused on much of anything else; in turn, all the clutter and noise from a chaotic and busy day is suddenly relegated to the back burner.
Similar to knitting, it is a process of making fabrics from thread or yarn with the use of a crochet hook. My mom had taught me to cross-stitch as a child but that wouldn't do anymore. You can make a crocheted toy with the knowledge of three stitches and the ability to read a crochet pattern.
If you've been following along, you will know that I never recommend starting a project that is too advanced when you are a beginner. Also take a look at the crochet instructions to determine the materials needed for your project. If you don't know what project you want to start, paging through the countless pages on websites will give you many, many options.
Learn to crochet and you ll discover a passion that you ll have for a lifetime. Now that you re organized, have fun crocheting!
