There are many reasons why people love to crochet. And not only is it a hobby that you can have fun with and use your imagination but you can really be industrial with it.
Fortunately for us all, there were a lot of books, magazines and patterns published between 1850 and 1950 that have documented, the crochet creations that are from the peak period of this craft. You can tell what batch the yarn comes from by looking at the batch number on the ball band. Still all this could be useless if your basic knowledge of embroidery and stitching techniques is incomplete.
I have known three housewives who have gone into crocheting, first as a hobby, and then into business, making sweatshirts, shawls and pillowcases in different designs and different colors. It is also quite economical for those who are involved with making crocheted things regularly. If you don't know of anybody that crochets, check online for some good tutorials on how to crochet and read patterns.
Just take a trip to any store that carries craft materials and patterns. You can do it while you are watching TV, or while sitting in a doctor's waiting room, or traveling as a passenger in a vehicle.
