free crochet patterns for beginners

Crochet, like any form of art, is as much about skill as about innate ability. Are you wondering if that trip to your favourite craft store was a waste of time? Are you just wondering what else you can do with 12 coloured crochet hooks?

The internet is full of websites that can teach you crochet. Once you have learnt these stitching types you will see for yourself that how many different designs you would be able to create without having to consult others for your own creativity. If you can make a granny square you can put them tighter to create just about anything you want.

If looking at diagrams on the Internet, keep a mirror next to your monitor. If you are a beginner and frequently lose your place, write the patterns on lined paper, one instruction at a time. Also, you will get to meet people doing the same things you are.

Or, as mentioned before, dishcloths are easy patterns for beginners. There are free patterns, charts with crochet abbreviations used in patterns, charts for hook sizes, etc.
